It may seem splendid, but God himself has already been seen by men, through Jesus Christ, his Son.
"Jesus said to him, I have been with you so long, and you have not known me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father; and how do you say, Show us the Father?" (John 14:9)
Many may complain that God never let himself be seen, but the truth is that he became a man like us, in flesh and blood, in the person of Jesus Christ, and he let himself be seen, heard and touched by many.
He who created us loves us, became like one of us, lived among us and gave his life to save us.
"I and the Father are one." (John 10:30)
