Dear brothers and sisters, the only fight that a Christian needs to fight is the Fight of Faith, that of maintaining a life of obedience and submission to God, of perseverance and service in faith. Be aware of the abusive "Spiritual Battles" paranoia that is widely practiced out there. The so-called "covenants with God" that go beyond the Covenant of Christ, through his blood, which is the only and sufficient established covenant that exists for the saved forever. Remember clearly that the only agents of power to actually fight in spiritual places for us are the armies of the mighty angels of the Lord. You fight in the heavenlies in Christ, yes, as the Scriptures say, and against principalities, powers and powers of darkness, but this fight is and always will be in the Field of Faith, it is knowing and obeying the Word of God in daily living practice, it is in prayer and supplication to the Lord that His purposes may be fulfilled, and living a righteous life, of obedience and Good Testimony, enduring with patience and overcoming the tests of faith and promoting the preaching of the Gospel for the Salvation of Souls. It's casting out devils and healing the sick by the Power of Jesus' Name and the Holy Ghost. Everything is in the Field of Faith. If you live in prayer, OBEY the Word of God and preach the Gospel, you are fighting the good fight of faith and the true spiritual battle, and you are fighting the forces of darkness for the release of the power of God that happens through your Testimony of Faith. The armor of God (Ephesians 6:11) is clearly described as a symbol of the virtues that we must possess for this combat. To believe in salvation is to have the "helmet", to practice justice is to have the "breastplate of justice", to have knowledge and to know how to handle the Word of God is the "Sword of the Spirit", to Persevere in Faith is to have the "Shield of Faith, to have science and knowledge of the Truth that is in the Word of God is to be girded with "the Belt of Truth", and to have knowledge of the Gospel of Salvation, to be ready to preach by the power of the Holy Spirit is to have "The Sandals of Peace". What Paul said to Timothy: "Fight the good fight of faith," (1Timothy 6:12) Yes, we do fight with demons, but this is THROUGH FAITH! Furthermore, they are forces and powers that are not up to us to deal with. Don't become an extraterrestrial holy demigod fighting DIRECTLY with diabolic forces that don't fit you, doing strange rituals that can generate psychosomatic diseases and even involve you in the practice of unconscious sorcery, mercy! Cast out devils, but by the Name of Jesus through the Spirit of God! You alone have no power and can do nothing, my dear! You depend on Jesus the Vine, and you are just the branch that must obey the Lord's commandments and remain dependent on His intervention. Without Jesus we can't do anything! The part of miracles, supernatural power and the dethroning of demons, however powerful they may be, my beloved brother and sister, do not cross over, it is on account and only on account of God and His mighty invincible armies of Angels!
