"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy;" (Matthew 5:7)
Did someone make a mistake and fall into misery? Has a person who hurt you in the past tripped and fallen to the ground? Was that evildoer caught in the current of life and on the brink of death? What will you do? Will you sing the song of (man's) justice and "praise God" for vengeance? Are you going to say: Hallelujah, that wretch is now going to pay for what he did!? Brethren, I must say that in the eyes of God there has never been a single righteous person in this world besides Jesus. All, without exception except the Lord, are born incorrigible sinners, unbelieving and deserving of Hell. You and I were born that way, and to this day we continue to sin in the most shameful ways and even in things we don't even know, and only the blood of Jesus by God's mercy keeps us alive and saves us. So if God has mercy on you and me every day, a thousand times a day, where are we going to take the place that belongs to God and lift our finger as judges over anyone else? Brother, if you have been saved you have the Holy Spirit. You have Eternal Life in Christ Jesus. What's more, you are a winner, not a loser. So be the image of God and reflect his glory in your life. Be forgiving and have mercy on people who sin and fall, for if by the grace of God you are standing, it is for you to be His instrument to lift people up and preach the Gospel to them, where Jesus Christ the Son of God is the only one the just one that ever existed and that powerfully can save all who are willing to accept it. And don't be the Devil's arm to finish destroying the broken, wounded and helpless of the world. Anyway, if there is anyone who really deserves any kind of judgment from God, it's not up to you or me to lift a finger to judge the things that only Eternity has the competence to do. Forgive, with discernment and wisdom, but forgive whenever possible. Learn to overcome evil with good, with understanding and awareness of Faith.
