On the Way of Faith

Who is God?

"And God said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you." (Exodus 3:14) "You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created." (Revelation 4:11)

Can we know God? Does he allow himself to be known?

"Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come to us as the rain, as the latter and former rain to the earth." (Hosea 6:3)

Is there something or someone greater than He?

"Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me," (Isaiah 46:9)

Since when does He exist?

"Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God." (Psalm 90:2)

How big is His Power?

"But Jesus beheld them, and said to them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26)

Where does He dwell?

"For thus said the high and lofty One that inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones." (Isaiah 57:15)

How is His Knowledge and Wisdom?

"It [His wisdom] is as high as heaven; what can you do? deeper than hell; what can you know?" (Job 11:8)

God loves me?

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

Was Jesus really among us?

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1:14) "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked on, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;" (1 John 1:1)

Is there forgiveness for my sins?

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

Will He really forgive me?

"And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;" (Colossians 2:13,14)

What do I need to do to be saved?

"That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved." (Romans 10:9) "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, and your house." (Acts 16:31)

Will I receive a new life?

"These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God." (1 John 5:13) "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Will I be justified and have peace before God?

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:" (Romans 5:1)

Can anyone condemn me?

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." (Romans 8:1)

Will God always be with me?

"All that the Father gives me shall come to me; and him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out." (John 6:37) "Fear you not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." (Isaiah 41:10)

Will I be blessed?

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:" (Ephesians 1:3)

Will I need to walk and grow in faith?

"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen." (2 Peter 3:18)

Will I need to be part of a Church?

"For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ." (1 Corinthians 12:12) "Now you are the body of Christ, and members in particular." (1 Corinthians 12:27)

Will I need to be holy and turn from sin?

"Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness." (Romans 6:18) "Neither yield you your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin: but yield yourselves to God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God." (Romans 6:13)

Will I have my life transformed?

"And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Corinthians 6:11)

If I really have Eternal Life, will my faith be tested?

"And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us." (Romans 5:3-5)

Will the grace of God always be with me?

"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:16)

Should I have patience and perseverance to the end?

"But he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved." (Matthew 24:13) "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found to praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: " (1 Peter 1:7)

Do I have a promise that I will be victorious?

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:37-39)

What is God's Promise for the future for me?

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said to me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to him that is thirsty of the fountain of the water of life freely." (Revelation 21:4-6)
