There are many who seek the knowledge of God. But knowing the Almighty by our own strength is simply impossible for us mere mortals and a race that in the beginning was fallen because of sin. It was the Lord who took the initiative to reveal Himself to fallen man and provide him with a plan of salvation through His Son. The Lord has been God from before eternity was born, says the Supreme Oracle of Faith (Isaiah 9:6). So, how shall we measure the Power of Him who created everything? Or how shall we attain His Wisdom, the Mystery of His Existence, His Vision and His Understanding? Many and even dark is the presumption of those who claim in the faculty to speak falsely in the Name of the Eternal. But this is exactly what has happened through the ages and continues to happen, and in an epidemic way, in the midst of the Churches and throughout the world. The revelation of the Word of God does not proceed from man, but from the Sovereign Will of the Almighty. There is no man in the world who can induce the Almighty to speak! It's too presumptuous for someone to say that the Lord of Heaven said anything, when in fact He didn't even know about the situation! It would be good for us to be content with our insignificance and struggle with only our meager understanding and vision than committing the cadaverous act of falsely raising Words in the Name of the Creator. All the Word of God proceeds from God, not from man. He speaks as He wills and when He wills and pleases Him, in the counsel of His Sovereign Will, and there is none that has anything to question, because He is Perfectly Wise and has all Power. Everything proceeds from Him, because He is good, and it has pleased His Blessed Will to reveal itself to us and save us. If He speaks to the world through anyone, it is His choice, and it does not depend on who wants or who runs, but on the Lord who shows mercy to whom He wants, and hardens whom He wants. If anyone speaks, let him speak the words that come from God, and not from himself. We must know that He is God, and we are houses of dust and ashes molded by His hands, and that we will never have power of our own to lift up our eyes to Heaven and reach His Eternal Ways alone. We must be silent, and He must speak! We must fear His Name and tremble before the strength of His Power, which can save and destroy, but it is He who speaks. It is He who governs everything, who judges all, who has mercy on us and saves us, by His Sovereign and Blessed Will, by which in His Grace He loved us and was pleased to come to us tosave us.
1. Prophecy comes from the Sovereign Power of God
"Even before the day was, I am; and there is none that can escape my hand; if I act, who can prevent it?" (Isaiah 43:13)
Prophecy comes from the sovereign power of God. Since ancient times, God has generated prophecy in order to demonstrate his eternal and sovereign power. He generates the prophecy because He is the only one who has the power to fulfill it . What God says, He does! And it does because He has the power to do it. If any word or scripture is not fulfilled, it is a mistake that the Almighty has not spoken, nor proceeded from Him , for the fulfillment of a prophecy proceeds from the fact that He has the power to perform it, even if it happens from any false prognostication to appear come true, for even if some false sign is fulfilled, asking to deviate from the Truth of the Scriptures, it is also deception. Everything that is written in the Word of God, and everything that He comes to speak, are faithful and infallible promises, which in the time and space determined will be fully fulfilled, without missing or failing absolutely anything, because they are conditioned under His Power. , who is Supreme and greater than all things. If He speaks anything, in His Word or in some extraordinary way, He speaks because He is God, and because He has Power to fulfill, and His Word will infallibly come to pass. If God indeed speaks anything, what He has spoken will infallibly have its fulfillment, for He has the power to do it, and there is none, not in Heaven, on Earth, or anywhere, that can stop it. He does whatever He wants, and He has this right because His Wisdom is Perfect, and He is Faithful and Just, and He will never do injustice. There is no creature that escapes the Power of God. His Word is of Eternal Validity and will never fail to be fulfilled.
Everything that is written in the Word of God, and everything that He comes to speak, are faithful and infallible promises, which in the time and space determined will be fully fulfilled, without missing or failing absolutely anything, because they are conditioned under His Power, who is Sovereign and greater than all things. The Word of God can certainly bring you Tests of Faith for you to be made a winner, BUT IT WILL NEVER BRING DEFEAT AND CONFUSION! The Ways of the Lord are Straight, says His Word,
" For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints." (1 Corinthians 14:33)
and God is not God of Two Words.
The Lord fulfills everything He says, because He HAS POWER, perfect Wisdom and because He is Faithful and Just.
The difference between a true and a false prophecy is that God simply HAS POWER to fulfill what He says! The Lord will never , in His Word Written or transmitted in an extraordinary way, speak something that He does not have the POWER TO FULFILL! If He speaks, in the scriptures or through true prophets, it's because HE HAS THE POWER TO FULFILL what He said! If someone does not have power and cannot fulfill what he has said, that someone is not God and does not come from God! And if you don't have the power to fulfill it, it wasn't the Almighty who spoke!
And even if some false sign is fulfilled, asking to deviate from the Truth of the Scriptures, it is also mistake.
Jesus sternly warned us to beware of false prophets and their deceitful devices to steal our spiritual life, our faith, our fellowship with God, and our time. Through the fruits of false prophets we will know their identity, says the Lord. Grapes are not gathered from thorns, nor figs from thistles.
2. The Revelation of God's Word Is Complete
"And he said moreover unto me, It is accomplished. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To whoever is thirsty, to him I will give free from the fountain of the water of life." (Revelation 21:6)
"While God of old spoke many times and in many ways to the fathers through the prophets, he has spoken to us in these last days by the Son," (Hebrews 1:1)
The Revelation of God's Greater Plan and Will is now complete. The Bible, which is the Revealed Word of God, is complete. In it is the full revelation of God's will and plan of salvation throughout the ages for the world. There is nothing more to add to the exposed revelation of the Bible. The revelation that God designed to deliver to humanity is complete through His Written Word, which is effective and sufficient for the salvation of everyone who believes. This revelation is special and separate about the divine plan and will, although it does not nullify the authenticity and inspiration of many other writings of holy men of God who have left their teachings recorded through the ages and which are also extremely useful. No preaching or prophecy can now pierce or go beyond the Gospel Revelation that is in the Bible, which is complete. The Word of God is also Sufficient and Effective, it can perfectly lead to the knowledge of the Truth, Will and Plan of God for salvation to all who examine it with a sincere vision and willing heart. It is sufficient and can fully show the way of salvation. There is nothing more to add to the sacred text of God's Greater Revelation, no new revelation or prophecy. God can certainly still speak today in a special way to those who seek Him, but since He does not change, nor can He deny Himself, whatever He speaks will invariably be in accordance with His Greater Revelation, for He cannot change. He is the same God yesterday, today and forever. He will not part with His Own Word, which is Faithful and established in Heaven forever. God's Revelation about the execution of his plan and will for the world through the centuries is now complete, and there is nothing more to add to it than its correct interpretation. There can no longer be new prophecies about His Plan of Salvation, nor new predictive prophecies, predicting the future, that go beyond those already in the Scriptures, nor about His Plan Through the Centuries, for all that is up to us to know it is already complete and revealed. Everything we need to know is already fully revealed and written in the Bible.
The resurrection of Jesus was the final victory of God's Plan for the world and together with the writings of the first apostles, the book of Revelation was the closing stone of the Revelation of His Plan of Salvation for humanity through the centuries. The time that we now have is the Time of the Dispensation of Grace, in which all we have to do is Obey and Preach the Gospel, which is now fully revealed. All the instructions for our life, the knowledge of God that we need to obtain, of His will and everything that is left to happen in the world is already prophesied and revealed in the Scriptures. As it was from antiquity, now also from the time of the beginning of the Church until the visible return of Jesus, everything is already determined and revealed. The entire Plan of God and the revelation of His Will for the world and for the course of time until the end is already fully manifested in the breadth of His Word, both in the Old and New Testaments. Of course there can still be prophecies of exhortation, strengthening, cry to repentance, reproof, warning, instruction and teaching, but there can be no more prophecies about God's Plan through the ages, nor about the Greater Revelation of His Will beyond the Scriptures, for these are revelations for a special purpose made in due time and are all complete to the end. If anyone prophesies anything else about the Revelation of God's Plan through the ages that is not already in the Scriptures, this is a spirit of deceit and destruction to lead men away from the Truth, as it is written in the Book of Revelation:
"And he said moreover unto me, It is accomplished. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To whoever is thirsty, to him I will give free from the fountain of the water of life." (Revelation 21:6)
There it is saying, "It is fulfilled." The Word of God is in our hands, and the true ministers that have been called are preaching the Gospel that is written in it. All that is left for us to do is listen to the preaching and study the Scriptures hard, under the prayer and guidance of the Holy Spirit, to have the knowledge of His Plan and His Will for all of us, even individually, through the ages. After the Book of Revelation the Divine Revelation to the world is complete. See the fearsome warning that is written in the book itself:
There is no more room for new prophecies about God's Greater Plan and Will than those already in the revelation of the Bible. And there is no room for new foretelling or intervening prophecies beyond all those already in Scripture. If there is, everything has to agree with what is already revealed in the text of the Bible. After Jesus and the apostles, God will no longer deliver new prophecies about the future because all of them have already been delivered and are recorded in His Word, ending with the Apocalypse. And God will not make new Interventions in the world beyond what He has said He would do from ancient times, and which are already written in the fullest extent of His Word. Therefore, no new prophecy can predict the future, nor impose any interference on anyone, unless it is completely based on what is already in the Scriptures. Everything is already revealed and prophesied to the end in His Word, nothing else is missing. If a prophet appears wanting to interfere with something, or predict the future without being in harmony with the Bible, or if he distorts the text, then he is outside the revelation of the Truth and comes to cause strife and confusion. The New Testament prophet comes first to exhort, teach and strengthen in the faith, but he must have a detailed knowledge and discernment of the Written Word, and now he can only interfere, prophesy and predict the future if he is based entirely on the revelations that are already in the Scriptures. Holy Scriptures, for everything is already complete. For example, you may know from the scriptures that when the righteous rule, there will be joy in a people, but when the wicked rule, he causes them much suffering:
In this way, when the righteous are ruling a people, you can safely prophesy that there will be joy in that place, but if the wicked take the place, there will be suffering and disaster. It is only in this way that one can prophesy in the New Testament, under the Holy Scriptures. Or like this verse:
Thus, you will know that if someone is just and perseveres in justice, even if he needs patience, light will surely and in due time be born on him. This is the spirit of prophecy that must exist in the New Testament. Every kind of prophecy must now be in this rule, that is, under the authority of the Bible. When being led to martyrdom at a stake, John Hus prophesied that "They may kill the goose, but in a hundred years, God will raise up a swan that they will not be able to burn". This is a fully scriptural prophecy, grounded in the knowledge that God's work cannot be stopped. And in fact, after him was born Martin Luther, who brought about the Protestant Reformation, and the Church has been progressively advancing ever since.
"For I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it;" (Matthew 16:18 )
Every Predictive (future prediction) or Interventive (Divine Intervention) prophecy, after Jesus and the apostles, in the Time of Grace, can only exist if it is based on the revelation of the Scriptures, because the revelation is complete. I dare give an example of future prophecy from the Word of God:
Why am I giving this prophecy? Because the Church is a winning project, whose head and Lord is Jesus Christ. And no project of God can end up defeated! "and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it;" (Matthew 16:18 ). And it is written: "I know that you can do everything, and that none of your purposes can be stopped." (Job 42:2) And also, "For he shall complete the work, and shorten it in righteousness: for the Lord shall make the work of the earth short." (Romans 9:28 ), and again "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14). It is written, as I do not, but you can see for yourself, that the Church must infallibly end Her battle on Earth fulfilling the Scriptures, glorifying God, bright and victorious.
We conclude, then, that there is no longer any place for any new Predictive Prophecy, which predicts the future, nor for Interventive Prophecy, to interfere in anything, unless this prophecy is based on the truth of the text of the Holy Scriptures, for God's Plan it is already established and revealed, and it will not fail!
4. The Work of Salvation is Complete
Jesus Christ, through his sacrificial death and resurrection, is the final consummation of God's work of salvation on earth. The work of salvation is finished and complete. The work of salvation was fully accomplished in Jesus Christ. God's work of salvation for man was brought to complete completion and success through Jesus' perfect sacrifice. All the prophecies of the Old Testament concerning salvation were fulfilled in our Lord. He is the Son of God and Messiah of Israel who would bring salvation to all the families of the earth according to the promise made to Abraham (Genesis 12:3). The main foundation stone, the cornerstone in the work of salvation is Jesus, and that stone is already laid. The plan of salvation has already been carried out, completed, and met with absolute success in Jesus. After the death and resurrection of Christ, a New Covenant of God for Israel and for the World was inaugurated, together, the New Testament Covenant in the blood of Jesus for the complete atonement of the sins of the world and eternal salvation for all who believe. The sacrifice of Jesus has forgiven all the sins of the world forever, because of the Righteousness of God, although only the elect who accept it will achieve salvation, and not everyone will be saved because of rejection and unbelief against such a great work of Grace and God's mercy. Because He had paid for the sins of the whole world, He obtained the legitimate right to be made Judge of the living and the dead, the saved and the lost. The Old Testament and the Law of Moses were not annulled, however they were superseded by a better and more perfect Covenant, the Covenant of Christ, with better and superior promises and that reaches everyone. This is the time of the dispensation of Grace and the Ascension of the Gentiles (non-Jews). The work of salvation is already complete, all that is left for us now is to believe the Gospel, obey and preach the Word of God. It is necessary to know and preach the Word of Truth, but no new prophetic intervention on the work of salvation is needed anymore. Christ Jesus has already conquered sin and all the powers of darkness in our place. The times of the Gentiles are coming to an end, where all that is needed is obedience and the preaching of the Gospel. The prophecies of Jesus and the apostles clearly point to end-time events, such as tribulations, wars, famines, pestilence, and signs from heaven. Along with the writings of the early apostles and prophets, the book of Revelation was the final closing stone of heavenly revelation about the divine plan through the ages and the Work of Salvation.
5. The New Testament Prophetic Ministry
The ministry of New Testament prophets is totally different from Old Testament prophets. The prophets of the old testament prophesied under the judgment and ministry of death, understanding that they were submitted to the total divine judgment, in absolute sacrifice and without forgiveness for failures, even though they were holy servants of God, because the demands of the old covenant and the state of the world still in total darkness demanded it. With the full manifestation of Christ and the Consummation of the Work of Redemption, the people of God, among all those who accept Salvation by Faith, began to live under the Covenant of Grace. New Testament prophets minister under the Judgment of Grace and the Ministry of the Spirit. This does not mean that they now have the right to err, but the weight of death has already been lifted by Jesus, and the Church lives under the Reign of Grace, where the Gospel of Peace and the Eternal and already consummated Victory of the Lord are announced for salvation. of everyone who believes. The Church must know and learn the principles of faith, the promises and the lessons of the Old Testament, but the Church does not live under the Old Testament, the Church lives under the New Testament. The Church does not live and is not justified by the works of the Law of Moses, the Church lives in the Time of Grace and is justified by faith in Jesus. The True Prophets still exist, but in Today's Time they are only of the New Covenant, they are those who prophesy under the Grace of God, under the Ministry of the Spirit, and not under the ministry of death. They are the prophets of the New Testament, called into the Ministry of the Church, and the Spiritual Life is a reality, and so are the supernatural manifestations of the Power of God, but now we are under the New Covenant, the Covenant of Jesus, which brought to light Eternal Life and Salvation on all who believe. The prophet of the new testament can also judge and warn, but with the purpose always to instruct and save, and not to cause strife, destruction and hopelessness for the Church. The New Testament prophet is a member of and within the Church, under the lordship of Christ, by the Holy Spirit, under the authority of the apostles, and still subject to the Written Word, under the commandments of Christ, and the first apostles and prophets. It is a ministry prepared, called and given by God, through the Holy Spirit, for the edification of the Church. Remembering that God does not deliver prophets or any of the five major ministries (Ephesians 4:11 ) without a life of good witness and proof of Faith from the approved worker (2 Timothy 2:15).
6. The Victory of Jesus has already been consummated forever
Jesus' victory in His work of redemption on the Cross for all of us was complete and is already accomplished. In the plan of eternity His victory has already been accomplished forever, on the cross, over sin, over death and over all the powers of darkness. The Lord has already conquered and has already destined the end of the Enemy. It's not that you will still win, in the plan of eternity the Lord has already won and defeated all evil forever. Time will only unfold what has already been done in Heaven. Whoever believes in Christ will participate in this same victory, which was for all who receive His Testimony. In His atoning death and resurrection He forever manifested the Will, Truth and Justice of God upon all who believe. If the Enemy, even after being defeated, was still allowed to continue acting, it is God's design to prove the truth of the Faith in hearts, if they will believe in Christ's already accomplished Gospel of Triumph. Believing that the Victory of Jesus has already happened forever is what makes us more than conquerors, because what He did, He did for all the Elect of the Faith, those who are subject to the Kingdom of God. Every prophecy that confesses the victory of Jesus and the truth of the Written Word is from God, but every spirit that denies the victory of Jesus and the Scriptures is of evil origin, and works a lie.
Conclusion
We conclude here, until the next article. May these simple topics enlighten all brethren better about the prophetic ministry of the New Testament, a ministry so powerful and necessary for the Church and which has been constantly falsified and regressed to the Old Testament by perverse elements in order to destroy the vision of the truth, unity and faith among the people of God. May the true prophets, who are of the Covenant of Jesus and work under Grace, arise, submitted to the Lord and Head of the Church, to strengthen, instruct and exhort the Elect of God to a greater communion of faith and love in the knowledge of the truth so that the Presence of God through the Holy Spirit can dwell every day with more power in the midst of the People of Light, who have their roots and citizenship in Heaven, and whose Lord and Master from God is only Christ Jesus Our Lord, to whom we wait from Heaven, the one who conquered and who saves us from the Future Wrath, and who will soon manifest the defeat of the dominion of this present century, bringing to Earth in glory His Eternal and Victorious Celestial Kingdom of Peace.
Peace be with all brothers.
