"Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;" (Colossians 1:15)
God, the One who created everything, has a Son, begotten of His Being according to His Exact Image and Likeness. Not created, but begotten of Him, after the exact image and expression of His Almighty and Eternal Being. This Son of His is Jesus Christ our Lord, Son of God and Son of Man, who became man, who became flesh for the world's sake to die for our sins, so that through Him we might be saved from corruption, be regenerated and have the Eternal life. All the creatures of God, the heavenly beings that dwell in eternity are also called children of God, but they are all born by the Breath of His Mouth and not yet begotten of His Own Being. But Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God, begotten of the Heart of the Almighty Father according to His Power and Glory before there was even eternity.
"For he also predestined those whom he foreknew to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." (Romans 8:29)
The mystery of God is that now all among men who believe in the Testimony of His Truth through His Son are now also not only creatures, but children begotten and born of God in the Person of Jesus Christ. Certainly not equal, but destined to be like the Son, on the day of the manifestation of the Kingdom of Heaven, all who confess it publicly and remain faithful in the faith to the end, born again in the spirit from this day and possessing the same essence of nature of God's eternal and incorruptible life.
