"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took on him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to death, even the death of the cross." (Philippians 2:5)
Scripture tells us that God sent His Son into the world, born in the flesh as a man, born under the Law as one of us, that through him we might have access to the Father, live and be saved. We have to understand that Christ, even being God, did not demand privileges, nor invoke for himself the divine rights that he rightfully possessed, nor even make use of the unlimited powers that he had for himself. He, maintaining only his divine nature and identity, put on our perfect human nature, with all its inadequacies, pains, and limitations, yet in full holiness, and in Him there was never any sin. He lived, interacted and acted in the world under the same conditions to which we are subject, under total dependence and obedience to the government and power of God the Father, this we must understand. He became man like us, this is one of the great mysteries of the work of salvation, even though he never had sin and never annulled his identity and divine nature. And as Jesus was one with the Father, He became Emmanuel, God clothed in our humanity living Among Us, who was seen, heard and touched by many. And being in this condition, He was subject to all the laws and limitations that all men are also subject to, except sin. He was not disloyal, He was True and Just: Born of a woman, developed, grew up, interacted with people, dreamed, desired, loved, suffered, served others, obeyed parents, obeyed civil authorities, prayed, listened the Word of God, subjected to the universal ordinance of work, felt sadness, suffered from darkness, rebellion and hatred in the hearts of the world, was subjected to hunger, thirst, temperature and physical exhaustion, was separated, rejected, reviled, blasphemed, mocked, spit on, despised, discriminated against, and judged unworthy. All the pains and tribulations that we suffer, He also suffered, and even more than we do! He was obedient, but he also learned obedience through the things he suffered. He lived in the fear of God. He did not depend on himself, nor did he use his own power. He was the last to be attended, the least esteemed, and the servant of all men, for justice's sake. He subjected himself to dependence on the Holy Spirit and the Written Word, preached the truth, healed the sick, cast out demons, promoted justice, judgment and peace, enlightened the world, announced and transferred the Kingdom of Heaven to Earth, delivering His life as an offering to God to save the world from its sins, and rised again eternally victorious, in power and glory, that, having won, we might be saved and justified before God forever, according to the righteous requirements of His straight justice. He was obedient until death. This is a perfect life, this is the sublime example of obedience. Jesus did not exalt himself, but he loved us without measure and gave absolutely everything of himself so that we could be saved, and reborn in holiness before the Holy and Just God, so that we could live a new and regenerated life, following his blessed and eternal example of obedience and righteous living in this world and before the Face of God.
