"Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me shall also do the works that I do, and greater works than these shall he do, because I go to my Father." (John 14:12)
Do you seek revelations? Revelation is everything we find in the Word of God. Everything that Jesus did, in the power of the Holy Spirit, was under the same laws and conditions to which all men are also subject, even though He maintained His divine identity, and in Him there was never any sin. He, though fully God and fully man, emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, and becoming like us. And found in human form, yet he humiliated himself, being obedient unto death, even death on the Cross (Philippians 2:5). All that the Lord did, all His works under the power of the Holy Spirit, was under the same conditions to which all of us are also subject, even if without sin, so that in Him we would have the supreme example, becoming Our Great Master, and so that we could follow in His footsteps. It is evident that this does not mean that everyone will do exactly ALL the works that the Lord did, but that his example would be followed in many of his deeds. The Scriptures say that the Lord himself learned obedience through the things he suffered. There is no discipleship without God's work in the disciple's life, and there is no without proof of faith, fidelity and obedience. The true disciple is the one who emptied himself and was filled with the Fullness of Christ, who depends only on Christ, who has his life delivered on the altar of sacrifice in the service of God and does nothing for himself or for himself, and who has no power of his own but the power that comes from the Holy Spirit.
