In a more exact sense, there is no life apart from spirituality, for spirituality itself is life and life itself is spirituality. We learn this from Jesus. No one can live in two worlds at the same time. The Gospel is not lived in the beyond or in another extraterrestrial dimension, but in ordinary mortal life, in the midst of the world that the hands touch, among people and in everyday life. You only have one life, and it is exactly in this life, today and now, that you live the Gospel and spirituality. It's when you wake up, at breakfast time, when you greet the neighbor, when you're talking to a friend, it's on the way to work and during your work, it's in the daily struggle for life, it's when who walks around resting their minds, it's when they feel the green scent of a plant, the solar lights, feel the fresh air and hear the sounds of nature. Spirituality is in every moment you are living, and that is where you must practice the Gospel, that is where you must obey God and put his Word into practice. The Gospel is lived and happens in full tangible life, in the here, today, and not in death, much less in another extra-existential imaginary dimension. Spirit and matter are in the end intrinsically united and co-existing as a whole, and there is no separation between them except in essence. The Gospel is lived in today and now, in the midst of this earthly dimension where everyone runs in the struggle for life, where we breathe air and take a stone in our hands. The Gospel is spiritual, but it happens and is practiced in the tactile, experiential, visible world, where we shake hands with people. We must not love the world, nor the evil works that are in it, but we have been transformed by faith and born again of the light so that we still live on the world. Although we no longer belong to the world, we still live in the world, and it is in it that we will fight the good fight of faith, where we must preach the Word of God, by word and example, overcome the action of evil and glorify the Name of the Lord by the practice of justice in the ways of light. It is still in this present time that we must make the difference between the living beings as the salt of the earth and the light of the world and give good witness as ambassadors of the Gospel of the Heavenly Kingdom and the Power of God. Be holy and separate from all evil as a citizen of the Kingdom of God, reborn of the light, but still do not leave the world existentially, because it is by living humbly among people, although within the proper limits and with wisdom, that you will be able to show them the truth of the Gospel, give a good witness and show them the power of salvation that is in Jesus. Set your heart on the Kingdom of God, but live from today, as a citizen of heaven. Be holy and separate from all sin, truly dead to the world and its corruption, but not yet become an extraterrestrial, for whoever is born of God has been reborn inwardly to a new life, eternal life already present from this day, in spirit, to make a difference on earth, but while on earth, he is still human, mortal, needing air to breathe, participating in universal human cooperation in work, participating in the global divine order for earthly work, not alienating himself from civil society and its duties, fraternal coexistence and the common struggle of humanity for life, persevering in the practice of prayer, study of the Scriptures and good works, until completing the course of faith, obtaining a good witness before God and men, by the confirmation of faith, for existential elevation and permanent entry into the Eternal Kingdom of God.
